Chocolate Keeps Wrinkles Away

Author Amy Neftzger said, “I'm pretty sure that eating chocolate keeps wrinkles away because I have never seen a 10 year old with a Hershey bar and crows feet.” As I'm approaching a new decade in my life, I've noticed that I'm not getting carded purchasing beer or spray paint anymore.  This doesn't bother me much, it's not often that I buy beer or spray paint.  However, every once in a while, I'll see a photo of me and think, "I need a Hershey bar".  I know what you're thinking, "embrace it" or "laugh lines are the best lines" which I agree with, but I don't agree to standing by and not be purposeful about it.

I was born with an awesome metabolism. It wasn't until I turned 35 that it started slowing down, which meant that it wasn't until I was 36 that I included running into my regular routine. Up until I was 35, I was able to eat whatever I wanted without my body showing signs of it. Up until I was 35, I was able to have dessert after each meal without my jeans getting tight. Up until I was 35, the lyrics "sporting a beer gut" were just lyrics. Should I have just embraced the slower metabolism and continue my habits?

A little over a year ago, my friend John called me out of the blue and told me that he sent me something in the mail and once I get it, to call him.

I got it. I didn't call him.

He called me again and asked if I received the package and if I tried it yet.  I told him I hadn't tried it, we did this dance for about a week. Finally, I tried it.  It was a sample bottle of Nerium AD. After 7 days, my face was tighter and less oily. After 9 days, my skin was brighter. After a year of using Nerium AD, my skin tone has evened out and I've been able to replace the products you see here with 2 bottles, Nerium AD's day and night cream.

Now I only need 2 bottles!

Now I only need 2 bottles!

I had products for my dry-oily skin combination. I had products for sensitive skin. I had products I tried for only a few days because my sensitive skin couldn't take any more. I had product to cover up my uneven skintone. With Nerium, I've been able to clean up my vanity drawer, I don't feel this need to wear make-up which also means less money spent {my Dude is thrilled about that}, and I don't have this time consuming procedure every night before bed because it's just 1 bottle at night and 1 bottle during the day. Hands down, I'm such a HUGE promoter for this product that the next logical step was to become a brand partner.

I'm definitely not a skincare expert. I'm not a dermatologist or cosmetologist. I haven't reached my goals yet with this company, but my job as a brand partner is simple.

  • I share what I'm using and how it's working for me.
  • Be the bridge for consumers who are interested in the products.
  • Create a support system that gives others the confidence and drive to become brand partners themselves and set their own goals.
  • Be the biggest cheerleader to those who need a little motivation and accountability to continue moving forward.

If by running and working out means I'm not embracing my slower metabolism, then by using Nerium AD must mean I'm not embracing the aging process. Or it could mean that I can adjust to change and show up each day with the best me possible.

Sophia Loren said, “There is a fountain of youth: it is your mind, your talents, the creativity you bring to your life and the lives of people you love. When you learn to tap this source, you will truly have defeated age." This is the fountain of youth that I encourage everyone to use, part of that equation for me is Nerium.  If you feel like your equation is missing something, if you enjoy talking to people and helping others,  if you simply have questions or would like to get started, feel free to contact me or shop my skincare line.

Be purposeful with your future. And remember, pimp your awesome!
